Differences between Hippocampus electric welding pliers and ordinary welding pliers?
1.Material and Craftsmanship
Hippocampus: Made of high-strength copper alloy for superior conductivity, with surface electroplating (nickel or red copper plating) for wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
Ordinary: Mostly constructed from common copper materials or aluminum alloys, with lower material strength and prone to oxidation and wear.
2.Structural Design
Hippocampus: Ergonomic design for comfortable grip, uses a double-lever principle for firm electrode clamping, and features heat dissipation holes or hollow structures.
Ordinary: Traditional design with spring-clamped electrodes at the tip. Springs are prone to fatigue after long-term use, leading to loose electrode clamping. Simple structure, poor grip, low cost, suitable for basic welding tasks.
3.Welding Safety and Durability
Hippocampus:Civilian version (suitable for 300-600A current).
Engineering version (suitable for 600-900A current).
Tight conductive contact, low resistance, stable arc. Insulating components use high-flame-retardant materials, with impact resistance, suitable for harsh environments.
Ordinary: General conductivity, prone to overheating and unstable arcs under high current. Insulating materials are prone to aging and cracking, with shorter service life.
